Drugs, Alcohol, and Immigration

The U.S. is liberalizing its attitudes toward drug use, especially marijuana. Nevertheless, U.S. immigration laws remain stuck in the 1950's when it comes to drugs. Even minimal, recreational use of illegal drugs makes a foreign national inadmissible. Meanwhile, the Department of State has recently adopted a tough new policy under which consulates are revoking visas of any foreigner with a DWI arrest. What effect do these changes have on the ability of businesses to bring employees into the United States and keep them here?
